EMPLOYMENT - TRAINING - The Southern Province’s Employment and Housing Department (DEL) offers employment and professional integration services. It helps business owners to recruit their employees and helps to reintegrate disadvantaged groups through a range of schemes and actions. - Groupement pour l’Insertion et l’Évolution Professionnelles en Nouvelle-Calédonie (GIEP NC). This group prepares and supports people to enter the job market, and helps companies and their employees to acquire new skills. - Temporary employment agencies: several agencies offer temporary employment contracts to meet companies’ specific needs. - The Continuing Vocational Training Department (DFPC) is responsible for implementing vocational training policy in New Caledonia (training programmes, certification, etc.). TALENTS The Talents Calédoniens association mobilises New Caledonian companies and their partners to encourage the return of New Caledonian graduates and to improve the attractiveness of the territory for talents. A pilot scheme, "Re-vivre en NC", designed to help young people (with or without qualifications) enter the New Caledonian labour market, is currently being tested. For more information, click here VALIDATION OF ACQUIRED EXPERIENCE (VAE) It enables the skills acquired throughout a person’s working life to be valued and recognised. It entitles the holder to a diploma attesting to the skills acquired, provided that: - 1 year professional activity can be proven - They are relevant to the field of activity in which 3 they are employed From the CAP to engineering degrees, VAE is accessible in all fields.
