THE PINEL LAW The Pinel Overseas Law (Pinel OM) has been extended until the end of 2025. Under this law, any individual investor in mainland France or the French overseas departments and territories can benefit from a tax reduction over 6, 9 or 12 years, which can range from 23% to 32% of the price of a new property located overseas and let subject to rent ceilings and the tenant's income. Tax benefits: The owner commits to an initial rental period of either 6 or 9 years, which can be extended to 12 years. The tax advantage increases and is spread over the entire term of the commitment, subject to a ceiling both per square metre and on the total amount of the investment (12% of the purchase price if 6 years, 18% if 9 years, etc.).
