CONSULAR CHAMBERS The consular chambers represent and defend the interests of their members (depending on the activity code/APE code and the legal status of the company). They offer both free and paid support and training services. Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie (CCI): representing over 13,000 businesses in the trade, industry and services sectors. Its main objectives are to support entrepreneurs and business leaders, provide training to promote employment and contribute to the country's economic development. Chambre de Métiers et de l’Artisanat (CMA): representing over 11,000 New Caledonian businesses in four main sectors: food, construction, production and services. The CMA offers a comprehensive range of information, advice, support and training. It also has two external services: the Maison des Artisans and the Centre de Gestion des Métiers. Chambre d’Agriculture et de la Pêche de la Nouvelle-Calédonie (CAP- NC): a public administrative body serving the agricultural, rural and fishing sectors. It is involved in a range of expert appraisal, technical support, studies, training, research and development missions relating to agriculture and fisheries. It also manages livestock and energy support schemes on behalf of the Government. 65
